Sephora basically sprung onto everyone a VIB appreciation sale as a way to showcase their new rewards system (an increase in points-per-dollar and a cash back option in point redemption). I honestly love the new reward options, and this sale was a perfect surprise for me to grab a few things I’ve had my eye on, but didn’t want to bite the bullet just yet!
I’ve done a post before on the 2-times-per-year Sephora sale, so if you want to check out some other great products, I’ll list that here, but this post is all about the products that I picked up yesterday.
Details on the sale:
Rouge members will receive 20% off their purchase from August 24 to September 3. In store, you don’t need to use a code, but if you’re shopping online the code is “YESROUGE”.
VIB members can shop the sale with a 15% discount from August 20 to September 3, with the code “YESVIB”.
Beauty Insiders can receive a 10% discount on those same dates with the code “YESINSIDER”.
What I picked up:
This palette is the perfect quick and easy bronze palette. It offers the essential bronze eyeshadows that you would need to get the “VS model glow” but it ALSO has a beautiful highlighter and bronzer (and NARS is known for their bomb bronzers)!
I love a quick and all in one palette, and Smashbox really hit the nail on the head with this one. This contour palette has a bronzer AND a contour powder, an under-eye setting powder (which is my favorite one on the market), two shades of highlighter, and a beautiful peachy-pink blush. This palette can work for ANYone and is a STEAL at only $39, which the sale makes even cheaper!
I’m pretty attached to my NARS radiant creamy concealer, so this is a stretch for me, but I have heard great things about the Milk Makeup line, so I figured this would be a great way to dabble into the brand. I’ll get back to you guys on my thoughts!
This is a product that I talked myself out of getting before the sale because of the cost, but when I was notified of the sale, this was the FIRST item I thought of. Tatcha is a very luxurious skincare line, and I’m sure it’ll be a great primer (I’ve heard it is from many beauty bloggers). If you’re looking for true skincare products, the water cream is also a great product that would be worth grabbing since you can save some $$$!
Tried and true dry shampoo here, so I had to re-stock on it because I can’t be without it. If you’ve previously been bummed by the original scent, try this “lush” scent!
Perfumes are another thing I grab when Sephora has a sale, because let’s be honest, these can get pricey! I’ve been wanting to pick up the Miss Dior perfume for a while now, so I finally went for it. It’s a very warm scent, which I tend to like for date nights, and it’s a floral perfume, so it’s light enough for an everyday scent.
I saved the best for last, because this is my favorite product that I picked up yesterday. I’ve already used it twice because I love how moisturizing it is. You guys already know that I love Drunk Elephant, and I’ll list my previous post on their products here. This is a newer product from their line, combining the intense moisture of the polypeptide moisturizer and the brightening elements of the C-Tango day serum. All I can say: if you need an eye cream (or don’t think you do, but you really do…) you need to pick this up. (At least get a sample, you guys, I’m serious.)
I hope you enjoyed hearing about what I picked up from the sale. Please let me know what you guys have/are planning to pick up, and if you have any questions, as always, feel free to reach out.
